We have been making solid progress on the sponsorship front as we have just recently added Quiksilver, Billabong, Cliff Bar, Nature’s Path, and Bullfrog Sunscreen to our list of sponsors. We are still in negotiation on their level of sponsorship, but it is exciting to see us making traction with many name-brand sponsors. We are still in discussions with many other companies to solidify their sponsorship level.

Civil War Tournament Entrants
On Sunday September 27, 2009 I embarked on an adventure that would place me in the middle of a modern day Civil War. Splat Action Paintball in Molalla, Oregon invited me out to see if I could hang with some paintball enthusiasts and pro’s.
Paintball warfare did not bode well for me in the early going. They might as well have called it the “Take Out a TV Host” tournament, because I was a walking target. It did not help that I had a camera crew following me donning bright orange hunting vests. Think it was easy to take out the TV host? I’ll let you know when we get the videos online.
Either way I have to say the bruises, welts and sweat was all worth it. This “big game” (as the paintballers call it) was one of the best time’s I’ve had in a while.
The next step is to get some proper training from these paintball guys. I think I know what it feels like to be a punt returner without an option to fair catch or a team to block for me. Hmm… there’s a thought; maybe another episode of Northwest Wild? Not for now anyways.
Back to the point, while anybody can play paintball, not anybody can play it pain-free and effectively. I will be receiving some more training in the coming weeks and eventually be back in this big game scenario. You might even be able to come out and be part of the taping of the rest of this episode. I’ll keep you posted!
