First and foremost Season One of NORTHWEST WILD has been picked up by DISCOVERY CHANNEL INTERNATIONAL!

NORTHWEST WILD MOVEMENT

Since we broadcast our series on Comcast SportsNet Northwest and Comcast SportsNet California last fall, we have partnered up with CABLEready to distribute our series to cable TV companies worldwide.   CABLEready is a leading distributor of independent television programming to a worldwide cable television marketplace.  CABLEready was able to secure a three year distribution deal with Discovery.

With this deal in the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region, our goal is to secure separate broadcast agreements with Discovery’s additional worldwide affiliates, including the USA market.

We are also in the process of beginning pre-production on Season Two of NORTHWEST WILD. While we work on Season Two, our first season is scheduled to premiere January 1, 2012 to the countries listed below.

Once we receive the broadcast dates and times, we will communicate them to all our friends who live in the broadcast areas.

Thank you for your continuing support!

- Jeff and Steve Engman

New Episode Status

We have made a lot of progress over the past couple months filming our latest episodes!  We filmed our Cat Skiing episode with Cascade Powder Cats near Skykomish WA.  It snowed a foot the night before we filmed, so the snow was great, but so was the avalanche danger.   We missed capturing Steve’s head-over heels crash on camera, but the 100-foot yard sale was evidence of a major wipe out.

We filmed our Go-Kart racing episode at the Mountain Highway Raceway near Spanaway, WA.  Steve raced with the Huggler Racing Engines team in an actual event.  Steve found out the hard way that high-speed competitive Go-Kart racing is a very tough sport.  A day of training was not nearly enough to prepare Steve for the actual race.

We filmed our Mount St. Helen’s ascent with Oregon Peak Adventures.  This Ski Mountaineering episode proved to be one of our most difficult adventures.  The weather proved to be more powerful than Steve’s will to reach the summit, but hey that’s the Northwest right?  Other than a couple ruined cameras, the whole crew made it off the mountain safely.

Our next episode is in the planning phase right now as we prepare to raft the Rogue River with Rogue Wilderness Adventures.  Our plan has our crew on the Rogue River the week of June 20th.  In this episode Steve takes on the role of a guide to show a behind the scenes look into a day in the life of a river guide.

Welcome New Featured Businesses

The Northwest Wild Team is pleased to welcome Cascade Powder Cats and Huggler Racing Engines to the list of companies partnering with us to produce an episode of Northwest Wild.  We will be filming our Snow Cat skiing episode this week with Cascade Powder Cats at their location near Skykomish WA.  We are in the planning stages with Huggler Racing Engines to film an episode on go-kart racing in the April/May timeframe.
